Sublimation

What is custom sublimation and how does it work?

Custom Sublimation
Material Types
Advantages

Fully custom sublimation apparel refers to clothing items where the design is printed onto the fabric before the garment is sewn together, allowing for vibrant, all-over prints that extend across seams and wrap around the entire piece.

This process embeds the design into the material, creating a vibrant, durable, and long-lasting print.

Sublimation is most effective on polyester-based fabrics or materials with a polymer coating.

A heat press applies the necessary heat and pressure to transfer the design from the paper to the fabric. The heat causes the sublimation ink to turn into a gas and embed into the material. Thus, natural fibers like 100% cotton are not suitable for sublimation because they lack the necessary polymer structure for the ink to bond with.

We have 5 Fabric types available to match with your specific need:

  1. 140g 100% Polyester Birdseye
  2. 125g 100% Polyester Drop Needle Square
  3. 150g 100% Polyester Drytech
  4. 140g 100% Polyester Prolite
  5. 220g 100% Polyester Rugby Jersey

Sublimation printing offers high-quality, vibrant, and durable prints with excellent color reproduction and breathability. The designs are embedded into the material, making them resistant to fading, cracking, and peeling.
